FREE Open Day Adult Aerial Hoop (16+)

Service Description

Do you want to build strength, flexibility and have fun? Then this is the class for you! Come and have a go at Aerial Hoop where we will learn how to get in and out of the hoop, how to make fun shapes in and under the hoop, all whilst building strength and learning a new skill. Absolutely NO EXPERIENCE is needed and at Penny Farthing Circus Arts all types of bodies, genders and abilities are welcome. We will make accommodations wherever possible but please note there are 4 steps to the front door. This is a free session as part of our Open Day on January 3rd, celebrating 12 months of business at our newest studio in Wimbish, just outside Saffron Walden. The session is aimed at those children who are unsure what aerial sling might be like or who have parents who aren't ready to commit to a block booking yet without checking their child actually enjoys aerial first! We run various aerial classes for children of different ages that are usually bookable by the half term, so this is a unique opportunity to have a free trial class. The current schedule for classes are as follows; Monday - 4.30pm age 7-12 Tuesday - 6.30pm Aerial Hoop Beginners 7.30pm Aerial Hoop Intermediates Wednesday - 5.30pm age 11-17 7pm Aerial Yoga Thursday - 4.30pm age 4-8 5.30pm age 8-12 (We are hoping to add a sling class for children, a circus fit class and a new mixed ability adult hoop class to the timetable in 2026, once we know there is enough interest) We hope that by attending one of our free trials you will want to join our regular classes, but by coming to the open day, there is no commitment to book, we just want to show off what we have built in the last year! Please come in clothes suitable for aerial exercise (something like a t-shirt, jumper and leggings or joggers are ideal) and bring a drink! We advise that you have armpits and back of knees covered for this workshop to protect sensitive skin. All of our Open Day Taster Sessions last 45 minutes and we have lots for both adults and children, so please feel free to try multiple classes.
